Last updated: 6 June 2026

The Trustee for KBG Planning and Design Unit Trust (ABN 94 167 275 313), trading as “KBG Planning & Design” (“KBG”, “we”, “us” or “our”), operates a building design practice established in 1983 and based in Castle Hill and Oatley, New South Wales. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we collect and use it, who we may share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website at kbgplan.com.au and to the enquiries, services and communications we provide.

1. The personal information we collect

The kinds of personal information we may collect include:

  • Your name, email address and phone number;
  • The property or site address and suburb relevant to your project;
  • Details you provide about your project, enquiry or requirements;
  • Records of our correspondence and communications with you; and
  • Technical information collected automatically when you use our website, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.

We collect personal information only where it is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, our functions and activities as a building design practice.

2. How we collect your information

We collect personal information directly from you when you complete our online enquiry form, call or email us, or otherwise engage our services. Our online enquiry form is hosted and processed on our behalf by LeadConnector (HighLevel). Information submitted through the form is transmitted to and stored within that platform so that we can respond to your enquiry.

We also collect some information automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you browse our website, as described in section 6. Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or by using a pseudonym — although in most cases we will need your contact details in order to respond to an enquiry or provide a service.

3. Why we collect and use your information

We collect, hold and use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide you with information, quotes or proposals;
  • Provide our building design and related services, and manage your project;
  • Communicate with you, including about your project and our services;
  • Operate, maintain, secure and improve our website;
  • Conduct marketing and measure the effectiveness of our advertising; and
  • Meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

4. Disclosure of your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to:

  • Our related practice, KBG Consulting (Kneebone & Beretta Consulting), where structural or civil engineering input is required for a coordinated service;
  • Third-party service providers who support our business, including our customer-enquiry and CRM provider (LeadConnector / HighLevel), website hosting and email providers, and analytics and advertising providers (including Google);
  • Professional advisers, consultants and contractors engaged in connection with your project; and
  • Government authorities, councils or others where required or authorised by law, or with your consent.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers — including LeadConnector / HighLevel and Google — store and process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function, to understand how visitors use the site, and to measure our advertising. We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated statistics about website usage, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage your advertising preferences through your Google Account ad settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website work.

7. Direct marketing

From time to time we may use your contact details to send you information we think may be of interest, such as updates about our services. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe facility in the message or by contacting us using the details below. We will action your request promptly.

8. Security of your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and while we strive to protect your information we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is generally no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for providing access in some circumstances.

10. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Third-party websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
